Port Alfred

Port Alfred is known as the place favoured by heaven. It is known by locals as “Kowie” as the Kowie river flows through it. The Kowie river is spanned by two bridges and out into the Indian ocean.

Port Alfred is a bigger town than Kenton on Sea. It has a large variety of shops and restaurants including modern shopping malls. It offers scuba diving schools as well as scuba diving sites. This town is also the home of the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club – one of only five Royal courses in South Africa
