Addo Elephant Park

The Addo Elephant Park, was founded in 1931 to protect and conserve the last few remaining elephants. The Park has grown in leaps and bounds and now covers 164 000 hectares; stretching from Bird Island in the Indian Ocean to the mountains of the Zuurberg. The park is home to numerous species and is famous for its more than 450 elephants. Addo is one of the few parks in the world to include the Lion and the Great White Shark on its list of carnivores.
